The EP story
EP was established in 1995 by Stu Birch, a New Zealand teacher, upon returning to New Zealand after some time teaching in the UK. From the word go, we specialised in finding quality teachers for New Zealand schools. We quickly built a reputation for efficiency, reliability and excellent friendly service. We are about the right match between teachers and schools/centres, not about bums on seats. The Ministry of Education recognised our contribution to the Education sector. For over 20 years, we have been a Ministry of Education recruiter, working with schools and centres all across the country.
In 2016, we opened an office in Auckland, and in 2019, we opened our Christchurch branch.
In 2019, we rebranded from Education Personnel to ep.education, in the wake of a new partnership with international education staffing firm ANZUK. To this day, we are still owned and operated by teachers and are more committed than ever to bringing excellence in the education sector by bringing together quality people.
25 years on, we are still looking at new ways of supporting our clients and candidates, and we expanded our services greatly in the past few years. We are now offering Job Find Assistance, professional development courses for teachers and International Support Services for placed overseas teachers and the school employing them. And there is always more to come!
