What candidates say about the programme
[Tina and] the Job Find Assistance programme helped me secure my first teaching role in a very difficult job market. The feedback was absolutely invaluable, including CV structure and content, interview techniques, and really insightful specific market intelligence. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for solid and relevant advice, at any stage of their career."
- Secondary Teacher, Auckland
"The EP Job Find Assistance Programme was instrumental in securing my first job. They provided ongoing one-on-one support, which helped me optimise my CV, cover letters and overall presentation. The programme was a breeze, and I felt personally supported throughout what can be quite an intimidating process. Their knowledge and experience was highly valuable, and I would definitely recommend them to a friend."
- Secondary teacher, Auckland
"I am so grateful that EP was presented to us at our last face to face day of the teacher refresh programme. My interaction with my consultant has been superb. She took my ordinary CV and delved deeper into my historical teaching career bringing out my passion, strengths and skills and helping me to put them in writing. When completed she then added the icing on the cake by supplying a template for writing a job application covering letter. This was a tremendous help. My first CV didn't leave much of an impression... [but] my revised one made quite a different impression, resulting in an interview and a job offer almost on the spot!"
- Primary Teacher, Northland
"EP guided and supported me through my initial teacher registration and pay assessment, and then managed and boosted my progress as a relief teacher in the Wellington area. The knowledgeable EP consultants were at hand to assist me in designing cover letters and a CV that best reflected my strengths and expertise as a teacher. I received overwhelming support from the experienced EP staff from the initial job applications to the point of settling down in my new position, and with a promise that I can always count on them in future."
- Secondary teacher, Whangerei
“As a graduate teacher, my consultant from EP was extremely helpful in giving me advice on what potential employers look for in a CV and the different types of questions I can expect from an interview. She kept in contact and was very supportive throughout the job finding process. I would definitely recommend talking to someone from EP about finding a position as it will give you the tools you need to find the right position that works for you.”
- Primary teacher, Wellington
"I was a former primary school teacher overseas and then I migrated to NZ. Looking for a teaching job, I found EP on Facebook and applied straight away for the Job Find Assistance Programme. My consultant effectively helped, guided and supported me with my CV and job search. I finally got a permanent ECE job in the heart of Auckland."
