Teach in New Zealand UK Events
February 2017

This February we'll be in England, Scotland and Ireland to talk to teachers about teaching opportunities in New Zealand.

If you’ve been thinking that it’s time you took your teaching skills abroad then New Zealand could be the perfect choice for you.  With a great education system and a fantastic balance between bustling creative cities and beautiful rural settings; New Zealand doesn’t just mean a great job, but also a great lifestyle.

Here at Education Personnel we work hard to place teachers in their ideal roles, which is something we’ve got pretty good at over the last 21 years.  Education Personnel has strong relationships with many New Zealand schools, so applying through Education Personnel gives you a real advantage over other teachers. We’ll make sure we understand your goals, your expectations and your experience to find the perfect fit for you, and support you through your applications, interviews, and the job offer process.

As an overseas teacher wanting to teach in New Zealand, there is a specific process you need to go through, involving a qualifications assessment, New Zealand teacher registration, salary assessment and work visa. We have supported countless teachers through this process, so can advise you on the best way to go about it, ensuring you are well prepared to begin your teaching career in New Zealand.

Teachers across the board are now sought after, and there is high demand in all subject areas.  Especially valued are teachers of Maths, Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Economics, Technology (Hard Materials, Resistant Materials, DVC + Graphics, Digital Media, Engineering and Electronics).

Experienced primary teachers will also find the market has opened up with fixed term, permanent and  relief (supply) contracts available, and guaranteed contracts during the New Zealand winter terms*.

*Conditions apply.

This is a fantastic chance to meet face to face with Stu Birch,  our Managing Director, and Lynda Western, our Team Leader of the candidate care team. They can answer any questions you might have about your move to New Zealand and the kind of roles we have on offer.
